Rates:

• One night double-occupancy (two people sharing) rate is $149 plus tax/night (two day stays preferred on weekends).
• During the week, we offer a discount to $269 for two days, and the best deal of all is a three-day stay for $319.
• Single travelers are accommodated for $99 – $119 plus tax/night, and we offer discounts for travelers allied with groups who request this discount on their official stationery.

• Call us today at (618) 695-3355 to make your reservations. Prepayment is required for all reservations as The Irish Inn is a small, but very special Bed & Breakfast.

Deposit Policy:

• All reservations at The Irish Inn must be prepaid before being confirmed. We accept all major credit cards via PayPal or your personal check mailed to The Irish Inn – P.O. Box #97 – Ozark, IL 62972-0097.

Payment:

• We accept cash, checks, government vouchers, IBBA, Irish Inn, or gift certificates issued by the B&B directories where we advertise, and all major credit cards via PayPal.

Policies:

• Check-In Policy: We try to be as flexible as possible at The Irish Inn. A 2:00 PM check-in is recommended, but not carved in stone. If you arrive early, enjoy a cup of Irish tea while your rooms are being tidied.
• Check -Out Policy: Suggested time is 1:00 PM, but sure there’s no hurry to leave The Irish Inn. When God made time, He made plenty of it!

Cancellation Policy:

• In emergency situations we will reschedule your visit once, but otherwise we cannot offer refunds.

Children:

• Well-supervised children are welcome at The Irish Inn with notification at time of reservation — additional fees apply. A sofa/bed is located in the Tipperary Tower suite (along with the two California king beds) to accommodate families up to six.

Childcare:

• Baby-sitting can be arranged with at least two weeks advance notice — additional fees apply.

Damage:

• Since The Irish Inn is filled with lovely mementos and precious things, guests accept financial responsibility if anything is damaged by them, their guests, children, or pets.

Marriage:

• If you are ready to elope or get married here, call our special hotline (618) 695-LOVE!

Pets:

• We love animals at The Irish Inn, but please let us know about pets visiting with you when you make reservations. Pet-sitting services and kennels are available — additional fees apply.

Pets Living Here:

• Our resident black lab, Augustus Caesar (affectionately known as just “Gus”), and three cats, Seamus Chasemouseky, Tabby Tiger, and Cleopatrick live at The Irish Inn. They do not come into the guest areas (unless you really need them!).

Smoking:

• Guests may smoke outdoors where waste disposal is provided. If you are thinking about giving up cigarette smoking, consider a week at The Irish Inn to really make the commitment!

It is always hard to find the time for getaways, but the month of March is beautiful in the Shawnee National Forest. We Irish know that when God made time, he made plenty of it, so you can spend a few days in the beauty of the forest, on the wine trail, or enjoying the amazing waterfalls at the early pre-Spring thaws around here.

Interesting Guests

Silly Irish Hats

Over the years, some interesting guests have found their way to The Irish Inn, including Koreans on their honeymoon who could not afford both an American and European trip – they enjoyed a little bit of Ireland here. Two kilted Irishmen from a place called Islandmagee dropped in one year, as did fine artist James Cameron of Carrickfergus who even painted a portrait of the inn now on display here. Two famous Irish actors and one of the biggest Irish names in the music business visited The Irish Inn in March (our lips are sealed on who!), and several couples have married in March, too. When they start having too much fun and get really silly, we put special Irish hats on them!

A Very Romantic Place to Propose

One year an Irish-American man from Chicago had a jewelry box custom made by The Chocolate Factory, near our B&B, with all the features of a real jewelry box. He placed the diamond ring in one of the drawers, and kept encouraging his beloved to open all the drawers of the special edible chocolate box. She finally found the diamond and squealed with delight!

Irish Inn - Ozark, IL

The Irish Inn is filled with mementos from adventurous lives spent on six continents. Innkeepers Brian & Lynn McCreery are world travelers who came together in Northern Ireland three years ago. They were married on the levee of the Ohio River in 2008 by Rev. Murrell Hazel, who holds the record for performing the most weddings for guests at The Irish Inn. Having spent decades traveling in pursuit of business and pleasure, the McCreerys are well-acquainted with what makes a stay a joy.

Brian loves living in the wilderness of Southern Illinois, near canyons, waterfalls, two great Rivers, the horse trails, and 32 wineries. He is learning all the best places to hike, and at 60 years of age is taking up boulder climbing.

Lynn has ridden every mile of Tunnel Hill State Trail (45-mile bicycle trail), hiked in all the natural areas, and is active in all the historical, genealogical, and Native American organizations in the area. She enjoys sharing stories of ghosts, pioneers, and Native Americans. The Irish Inn keeps them both busy, but they are determined to visit Antarctica. If you have been there, they will want to hear all about it.

Closer to home in the Midwest and MidSouth, they spend two days per month visiting other bed and breakfast inns. In fact, taking these mini-holidays on a monthly basis was their New Year’s resolution – one they are keeping with relish. You can make the same promise, a resolution you will surely keep!
